His Holiness Patriarch Emmanuel III Deli met today Friday in his residential place, both Mosul Governor “Atheel Al Nijafey” and the Commander-in-Chief Major General responsible for Military Operations in the city. Various issues were discussed during the meeting among them the issue of threatening, displacing, and killing of Christian minority in Mosul, the Patriarch also emphasized on the mutual cooperation between local government and other authorities to be responsible for what is happening for Christians, and take the needed actions.

in the same time, he stressed on conducting real and constructive investigations to see who is behind these actions, no matter what immunity that have, and show the results of these investigations so people would regain their trust in the government, and not to politicize these cases for political agendas and bargains.

in the midst of the political and social preparation of election that is to be held in March, and while Iraqis from all sects have been anxious to determine and draw their map for future, it seems that others have been trying hardly to abolish this future, with some new crimes committed again against poor, vulnerable, powerless and honest people of Iraq.

a Christian family was slaughtered, a father with his two sons who were suddenly surprised by terrorists who break into their house, shooting at them leaving them dead inside their house, and no body knows what is the reason?

the description of this crime can’t be told or written in any forms of media, because it’s a monstrous crime that has shaken the whole Christian community in Iraq and outside Iraq, none of the crimes against Christians ever been recorded in the foreign media, only few Iraqi media sources recorded these facts that took place against Christians.

the Iraqi Christians have been suffering from an organized persecution, if we wanted that or not, and for those skeptics I encourage them to read my blog or other reliable sources that narrate the sequence of events that aimed to target Christians, they will find only in this year at least 20 or 25 incidents took place targeting either Christian worship buildings, or Christians people inside their houses or outside at work or fields of study (universities).

now the crimes reach the climax when a father in his later 70s along with his two sons, are being killed in a cold blooded way, left there in their bath of blood. Who is to be blamed for this crime? Many Christian sites were shut for 3 days or more mourning for the killing of the Christian family in Mosul. and the Syriac Catholic Church (whom the family belong to) sent an open message to Prime Minister Nouri Al Maliki to submit before him the problem of Iraqi Christian. And I believe that the shelves of the Prime Minister are full of papers that address concerns and fears of the future of Iraqi Christians.
